ABOUT OUR CLUB

The Road Knights Club was first organized in 1947, enjoying much success as one of the nation's leading car clubs. They formed a timing association (drag races), and raced weekly at the Sturgis, Ky drag strip. The Road Knights also provided assistance to the Junior Chamber of Commerce for its annual Soap Box Derby, and also held an annual car show, the Mid-States Autorama.  The Road Knights were recognized as a philanthropic, civic organization whose proceeds went to charitable causes.  However, by the late '60s and early '70s the interest had waned and the club ceased to exist.

In December 2004, with the blessing of some of the original members, the Road Knights was revived as a vehicle enthusiasts club. We enjoy attending Car Shows, Cruise-Ins and other events together and host Cruise-Ins raising money for local charities.
